Charcuterie Food Stylist 

Position Overview

We are looking for a Charcuterie Food Stylist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with food, has an eye for design, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is creative, dependable, detail-oriented, and excited to help create memorable experiences for our customers.

This position may involve food preparation, board assembly, customer service, event support, catering deliveries, vendor shows, and general store operations.

The position is intended to start part-time, with the potential for increased hours and full-time opportunities as the business grows.

Schedule Expectations

  • Daytime, evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability may be required.

  • Hours may vary based on customer orders, catering events, vendor shows, and business needs.

  • Flexibility to assist with off-site events, deliveries, and event setup/teardown is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation including slicing meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and accompaniments

  • Assemble charcuterie boards, boxes, and grazing displays with attention to aesthetics, quality, and consistency

  • Package and prepare customer orders for pickup, delivery, and events

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep, retail, and storage areas

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures

  • Assist with inventory organization, restocking, and product rotation

  • Support daily opening and closing procedures

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service in-store and at events

  • Assist with setup and teardown of catering events, grazing tables, charcuterie walls, and rental equipment

  • Load and unload food, supplies, tables, chairs, and event materials as needed

  • Travel to off-site catering events, community events, and vendor shows when scheduled

  • Represent Modern Meze professionally while interacting with customers, vendors, and event partners

  • Assist with additional kitchen, prep, retail, and operational tasks as needed

Hospitality Server

Position Overview

We are seeking a Hospitality Server to help create an exceptional guest experience at Modern Meze. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, thrives in a hospitality-focused environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.

Our Hospitality Servers are more than traditional restaurant servers. They help guests discover our food and beverage offerings, create memorable experiences, support private events, and serve as ambassadors for the Modern Meze brand.

This position is scheduled primarily for Friday and Saturday evenings, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through catering events, private parties, vendor shows, festivals, and other business needs. Employees interested in expanding their responsibilities may have opportunities to transition into additional roles within the company as Modern Meze grows.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner

  • Guide guests through menu offerings, charcuterie selections, beer, wine, and specialty products

  • Make recommendations and answer questions about food and beverage offerings

  • Provide traditional table service throughout the guest experience

  • Serve beer and wine while following all alcohol service policies and ID verification requirements

  • Process guest payments using POS

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining room, patio, and guest areas

  • Assist with opening and closing duties

  • Restock retail items, beverages, and service supplies as needed

  • Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning tasks during and after service

  • Support charcuterie assembly, food preparation, and catering preparation during slower periods

  • Assist with private events, wine tastings, networking events, and special gatherings

  • Participate in catering deliveries, event setup, and event teardown when scheduled

  • Represent Modern Meze professionally at vendor shows, festivals, community events, and off-site catering functions

  • Assist with additional hospitality and operational duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Previous serving experience required

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable learning food, wine, beer, and specialty product offerings

  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of guest service

  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification

  • Alcohol service certification or willingness to obtain certification

Schedule Expectations

  • Regular schedule consists primarily of Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM

  • Additional hours may be available through catering events, private parties, vendor shows, festivals, and special events

  • Evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability is required

  • Employees interested in additional hours may have opportunities to train in other areas of the business

  • Opportunities may exist to transition into additional roles or expanded responsibilities as Modern Meze grows

Compensation

  • Hourly pay plus tips

Prep & Production Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a Prep & Production Associate to help ensure our kitchen, retail, and charcuterie operations run smoothly each day. This position plays a critical role in preparing the ingredients that make our boards, grazing tables, retail offerings, and catering events possible.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in organization and consistency, and understands the importance of quality preparation. While the primary focus of this role is food preparation and production, team members may occasionally assist customers at the front counter, stock retail merchandise, support dine-in operations, and assist with catering and event preparation as needed.

This position may begin as part-time with opportunities for additional hours and expanded responsibilities as Modern Meze grows.

Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Production

  • Slice, portion, and prepare meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and accompaniments

  • Wash, cut, package, label, and store products according to company standards

  • Prepare ingredients for charcuterie boards, grazing tables, catering orders, and retail sales

  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation

  • Maintain proper inventory rotation using FIFO practices

  • Ensure food preparation areas remain clean, organized, and efficient

  • Assist with receiving and stocking food deliveries

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures

  • Assist with assembly and packaging of customer orders

  • Stock retail merchandise, coolers, and display areas

  • Assist with inventory counts and organization

  • Support catering and event preparation when needed

  • Assist with opening and closing duties

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks

Qualifications

  • Previous food preparation, kitchen, deli, grocery, catering, or restaurant experience preferred
