At its heart, Modern Meze is built around meze - a centuries-old cultural ritual rooted in the Serbian heritage of our founder. In this tradition, meze is never simply food; it is the beginning of connection. Served before every meal and gathering, from religious holidays to everyday lunches, it signals warmth, belonging, and conversation. That lived experience inspired a desire to create and share those same moments with others - inviting people to slow down, gather, and feel at home around the table.

Today, Modern Meze offers pre-made boards, fully customized experiences, catering, rentals, and a forthcoming retail selection - all centered around the social ritual of sharing. Each board is designed not just to be enjoyed, but to be gathered around.

This business is also deeply personal. Our family has been curing, smoking, and crafting meats and cheeses for generations - a tradition passed down through hands, stories, and time. That legacy lives on in every creation we share.
